Managing money is all about attitude. These assumptions help cynics to plan their finances. (Non cynics read the second sentence only) - 1. Every marriage will end in divorce (Each partner in a relationship needs to be financially independent
)
- 2. Your boss will never pay you enough to make you wealthy. (Your investments, not your salary create wealth)
- 3. Should your marriage ends in the death of one partner, the survivor will remarry within a week. (Your kids are vulnerable. Protect their lifestyle should a parent pass on)
- 4. Your loving children will sponge off you for as long as you turn your home to be a free hotel. (Plan to provide the best quality education that fits their potential, once they start working make them cover as much of their living expenses as possible)
- 5. Your loving child will not support you in your old age.(Take responsibility for your own retirement)
- 6. Insurance companies can never have all the solutions. (There are many perfectly acceptable ways of creating wealth. Insurance companies do not hold a monopoly)
- 7. You could get a free motor car, or give the cash to your creditors. (Why pay 25% for debt when you can get it for 14 %?)
- 8. Use the banks to make money. (We can show you how)
